I have been modeling since 2008/2009 as a plus size, print, and runway model. It has been challenging being a plus size model in today's society, but I can honestly say it has only made me stronger and work harder. Since I have been modeling I have participated in several fashion shows including well-known shows in Dallas like the Designer's Choice Fashion Preview, The Pin Show, Accessories In The Nude (AIN), Dwight Eubanks Legends of Fashion (for Bravo network), Valley View Mall (Macy's), Southwest Center Mall (Sears), and Dillard's.
As a plus size model I've had the opportunity to be the Cover Model for Curvz Magazine, Thick N' Sassy and Thyck Dolls Magazine. I have also been featured in Curvz Magazine, Very Full Figured Magazine, Blende Magazine, Words of Wisdom Magazine, Aspiring Artists Magazine, and Gray Mode Images The Magazine all are published magazines. In addition to being in other publications, I'm the fashion writer for Simply Me Magazine and executive of marketing, editor, promo model, and fashion blogger for Curvz Magazine who cater to plus size women and I started a blog, The Curvy Styler (www.thecurvystyler.com). Also, I work closely with Ashley Stewart clothing store putting on fashion shows and doing promo work.
Outside of modeling I'm a fashion stylist, casting director, and fashion show coordinator who has put on several fashion shows including full figured fashion shows and fashion shows featuring males, women, and children models. I'm also a runway coach who has coached Heyman and Dragonfly Talent Agency models and coaching children.
On April 29, 2013 (my mother's birthday) God put it on my heart to start my own full figured modeling management company which I named Jones Girls, Inc. Full Figured Models (Jones Girls, Inc. Models for short). It was time for me to do more and help full figured models get the recgonition they deserve. Society does not consider plus size models as "models". I want to change that and show society plus size models are just as beautiful and talented as our counterparts. Since starting my company my models have participated in several fashion shows, product shoots, music videos, Melissa McCarthy Seven 7, HSN, Forever 21, Good Morning Texas, and published magazines.
On January 7, 2014 Fox 4 News anchor Heather Hays interviewed me to discuss the controversial issue of Elle Magazine (featuring actress Mindy Kaling) and about plus size models. I have also been on Unimas/Univision (channel 49) promoting Rulli Torres Fashion Week 2014 and on Season 2 of The Moguls: Dallas reality show (channel 47).
As a model and business owner my main focus is to continue to work hard and help full figured models fullfill their dreams on and off the runway.
